I take pride in the fact that the largest automated dairy farm is right here in my home state of Wisconsin. Miltrim Farms Inc. located Athens, Wisconsin prides themselves in their care and passion for animals, healthy soil, and clean water. They have grown over the years now with approximately 2,500 cows and 4,800 acres of cropland. The new barn utilizes the Lely Astronaut A5 robotic milking system. Miltrim Farms focuses on lowering its environmental footprint per cow as well as its energy consumption. Their operation was the first farm to be designated a Clear Water Farms, receiving this certification as a result of their responsible handling of water resources and environmental awareness.
